Some nights in the restaurant industry truly showcase the power of teamwork, resilience, and a commitment to hospitality—one rare snowy Thursday at Vidrio was one of those nights.

With snow & ice conditions sweeping through the city, many restaurants made the difficult decision to close. But for the Vidrio team, led by General Manager Said, the choice was clear: find a way to serve, safely, and responsibly. That decision led to an unforgettable evening, transforming what was forecasted to be a modest night into a record-setting success—more than tripling the forecasted amount!

Said and his team sprang into action for guests who had their original plans cancelled elsewhere; pulling together an all-star crew, crafting an exceptional buffet, and ensuring every detail exceeded expectations. The result? A bustling SOLD-OUT Vidrio with happy guests and full stomachs.

We don’t close in inclement weather, unless absolutely necessary for the safety of our team, because we know that for many guests we’re not just a restaurant—we’re a place of connection, celebration, and comfort,” Said said. “Seeing our team step up, communicate seamlessly, and create something special out of an unexpected situation makes me incredibly proud.”

OPA to the Vidrio crew for living our mission to nourish our people, our community, and our world!
