Oceanic at the Crystal Pier, in Wrightsville Beach NC, launched its first-ever Annual Oyster Roast in October, drawing an impressive turnout to the scenic pier!
This lively event kicked off a new fall tradition designed to reconnect with local guests after the summer tourist season. Attendees enjoyed an evening full of incredible flavors, ocean views, and live music, making it a memorable gathering on the North Carolina coast.
Guests were treated to an oyster feast prepared by Oceanic Wrightsville’s skilled culinary team, with creative spins on classics, including fresh-shucked oysters on the half-shell accompanied by a selection of mignonettes like white peach basil and apple ginger, Southern Rockefeller oysters roasted with creamed collards and bacon, steamed oysters in garlic herb butter, and Oyster Casino, a flavorful mix of bell peppers, seasoned breadcrumbs, fresh herbs, and crispy bacon.
The evening’s fare paired perfectly with beer sampling from Flying Machine Brewing and live tunes from The Hatch Brothers, setting a festive tone for everyone in attendance.
The event also highlighted the dedication to creating experiences that blend the best of local culture and cuisine, something that’s been at the heart of their service to the Wrightsville Beach community. “We wanted to give our loyal local guests an event that felt like an autumn celebration after the bustling summer months,” said Oceanic Wrightsville Beach’s General Manager.
